International Association of Hydro-Environmental Engineering and Research (IAHR)

“The International Association of Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research, particularly promotes the advancement and exchange of knowledge through working groups, specialty symposia, congresses, and publications on water resources, river and coastal hydraulics, risk analysis, energy, environment, disaster prevention, industrial processes in response to the promotion of the student activities of IAHR (International Association of Hydro-Environmental Engineering and Research). At that time it was named IAHR-SSC (Stuttgart Student Chapter). The IAHR BW (officially still named as IAHR-SSC) has its roots within two international, water related, study programs at the Universität Stuttgart: the ENWAT (International Doctoral Program Environment Water) and the WAREM (Internationally Orientated Master of Science Program Water Resources Engineering and Management) program. The IAHR BW is dedicated to promote students activities and to facilitate their communication with young water professionals worldwide and internationally renowned researchers.”

IAHR (International Association of Hydro-Environmental Engineering and Research) organized their 18th Annual Colloquium with the title “Water as a Key Factor for Sustainable Development Goals” at the University of Stuttgart on the 1st of December. Anton und Petra Ehrmann-Stiftung research training group “Water - People - Agriculture” was introduced arouse interest beyond the young professionals.
