Integrative solutions to water issues and conflicts
With support of the Anton & Petra Ehrmann-Stiftung, the Research Training Group "Water – People – Agriculture (WPA)" was established at the University of Hohenheim in 2014. Within 12 years until 2025 we will support more than 30 PhD projects. In the focus are integrative solutions to water issues and conflicts within the following research areas.
- Water as a resource
- Water and climate
- Water productivity
- Water and health
- Water as a societal challenge
Young scientists will be trained to be experts in water related issues that are cross-cutting society and the three Faculties of the Hohenheim University.
The WPA Research Training Group PhD scholarships are open to qualified national and international candidates. The research topics related to the graduate school's focus on integrative solutions to water issues and conflicts are frequently announced here at the project’s website.
